About Ethan

“The Renaissance Man” Ethan Foxx is a man of many talents and interests. Ethan is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician, writer, poet, and artist. As an artist, Ethan works in many different mediums from oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, inks and pencils, to digital graphics media. He also handcrafts and paints traditional elk and deer skin drums. Ethan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ottawa University in both History and English with an emphasized concentration of study in Secondary Education and Art.

 

Ethan was raised in Glendale, Arizona, where from an early age he pursued music as his primary ambition. As his focus turned to raising children and family, it also turned to education. His creative endeavors took a back seat to academic pursuits and career planning until, by chance, word of his artistic ability got out.

 

Ethan was asked to feature his art at an exhibit in Show Low, AZ in January 2006. In just a few months Ethan quickly produced enough pieces to display. Pleased with the success of his first showing, he committed more and more time and attention to his art throughout the year, acquiring new skills in airbrush, large format mural painting, and faux finishing.  

 

Urged by family and friends to “finally follow his dreams using his talents and gifts,” Ethan and his wife, Meagan, founded The Renaissance Man, a company through which all of Ethan’s diverse talents in the arts can be employed. In early 2007 Ethan and Meagan turned the primary attention of their business to providing large-scale indoor and outdoor Fantasy Murals to be enjoyed by all ages.

 

While working feverishly on the second book of his Earthkeeper series, Ethan hopes to publish his completed debut novel, Earthkeeper: Awakening at Spider Rock (click for more info) sometime in 2010. Ethan lives in Buckeye, Arizona with his wife and their combined seven children.
