ABOUT ETHAN FOXX

A stage and studio singer from the Phoenix area, Ethan Foxx has been performing professionally for over 30 years, since the age of fifteen.  Ethan learned to sing while emulating the soft vocal nuances of David Gates of Bread and was also heavily influenced by dynamic metal vocalists such as Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. In his own vocal style, Ethan is able to effortlessly transition between the extremes of gentle to aggressive.

Ethan was a founding member of the Phoenix band, Gadzooks, in his early teens. He later went on to form Sweatin' Blood, whose evolution from "Hair Band" to Progressive Metal led Ethan to explore the fullest potential of his artistic nature and drove him to express himself through many mediums, from writing poetry, fiction and non-fiction, to the visual arts. He plays guitar, drums, bass, and the Native American flute. Ethan also creates authentic rawhide shaman's drums and paints them with symbolic animal totems.

Ethan currently fronts the Phoenix bands Imaginal Cells, Hard & Heavy, Tripwire, Foxx & Gower, and Americana. Some past projects are KansAZ A Tribute to Kansas, Blizzard of AZ a Tribute to Randy Rhoads era Ozzy Osbourne, FOXX, Rokyn, Rubicon Journey Tribute, Keep On Believin' A Tribute to Journey, and Rum Runners. Ethan has cowritten and coproduced several full length albums and single releases including Imaginal Cells' Purified, HereAfter's Burial Grounds, Jim Sinur's Amazing Journey and Are You Ready.

Ethan Foxx is available to discuss collaborative writing/recording projects, substitute and studio session work, songwriting and music production.

In addition to music, Ethan Foxx is an artist and author. He is a private tour guide to beautiful Arizona and Southwest destinations, and is a teacher of music in underprivileged communities. Ethan works with airbrush, actylics, oils, colored pencils, pastels, digital graphics, traditional drum making and jewelry design. Ethan can be contacted for commission work and large-scale murals.

In 2013, Ethan published his debut novel EARTHKEEPR: AWAKENING AT SPIDER ROCK. With elements of Science Fiction, Horror and New Age Philosophy, AWAKENING AT SPIDER ROCK is part one of a trilogy set in a world reeling from cataclysmic changes. Ethan is hard at work on the sequel, EARTHKEEPER: GLOBAL RESET.
